Sinusitis - Pharmacy First

If you're experiencing symptoms of sinusitis, our pharmacists can assess eligible patients aged 12 years and over and provide NHS advice and treatment where clinically appropriate, without the need for a GP appointment.

If you're suffering from sinus pain or pressure, you may not need to wait for a GP appointment. Through the NHS Pharmacy First service, our qualified pharmacists can assess acute sinusitis and provide NHS treatment where clinically appropriate.

This service is available for adults and children aged 12 years and over with symptoms of acute sinusitis.

What happens during your consultation?

During your consultation, one of our pharmacists will:

  • Discuss your symptoms and how long you've had them

  • Review your medical history and any current medication

  • Assess whether the Pharmacy First service is appropriate

  • Recommend the most suitable treatment

  • Supply NHS medication where clinically appropriate

  • Refer you to another healthcare professional if needed

Your consultation is private, confidential and designed to help you receive the right treatment as quickly as possible.
