Sore Throat - Pharmacy First - Avoid a visit to your GP. A NHS Funded Service. Our Pharmacist can help anyone aged 5 and over. They will check our symptoms and look into down your throat. Antibiotics will be prescribed if appropriate. When you have a sore throat it can be uncomfortable to eat, drink and talk. That's why it's important to get the best medicine and advice to feel back to normal. During our sore throat service our expert Pharmacists will ask you a series of questions and examine your throat to determine the possible cause of your pain. The service is NHS funded but you may need to pay a prescription charge if you pay for your prescriptions
